Attorney

Attorney Young-Wook Lee passed the Korean Bar Examination in 2002, completed the Judicial Research and Training Institute, and has been practicing law for over 20 years since 2005, focusing on litigation and advisory services. His main areas of practice are intellectual property—including copyright, patents, trademarks, and unfair competition—as well as entertainment law.

With his high level of expertise, Mr. Lee has earned the trust and satisfaction of numerous clients and maintains advisory contracts with various companies. Alongside his practice, he has continuously pursued academic study, obtaining an LL.M. and a Ph.D. in law. Mr. Lee is proficient in English, Japanese, and Chinese, and continues to expand his professional expertise into fields such as accounting, taxation, and software. As an attorney who is committed to ongoing study and publication, he has authored or contributed to more than twenty books as of 2025.

He is also well known as the “lawyer who draws comics. ” He has published many works through the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Copyright Commission. Notably, his copyright education comic “Let’s Draw a Dream” was published by WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) in seven languages, including English, Chinese, French, and Arabic. His “Copyright Extraordinary Stories” comic book has been distributed to more than 60,000 primary, middle, and high schools across Korea as official educational material on copyright.

Privacy Policy

Law Firm Gamwoo Gangnam-branch(hereinafter referred to as the “Firm”) establishes and discloses this Privacy Policy as follows in order to protect the personal information and rights of data subjects, and to smoothly handle any grievances related to personal information, in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations.

Article 1 (Items of Personal Information Processed, Purposes of Processing, and Retention Periods)
The items of personal information processed by the Firm, the purposes of processing, and the retention periods are as follows:

Client Personal Information

Items of Personal Information Name, contact information, address, company name, job title and position within the company
Purpose of Processing To perform tasks such as preparing necessary documents and maintaining communications in connection with cases entrusted by the client or related to the client
Retention Period Until the purposes of processing are achieved or until the client withdraws consent for the processing of personal information

Article 2 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)
The Firm provides personal information to third parties only in cases falling under Article 17 and Article 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act, such as when the data subject has given consent or where there are special provisions under applicable laws and regulations.

Article 3 (Destruction of Personal Information)
As a general rule, the Firm promptly destroys personal information when it becomes unnecessary, such as when the retention period specified in Article 1 has expired or the purposes of processing have been achieved. However, if preservation is required under other applicable laws and regulations, such information will not be destroyed.
Where the Firm is required to preserve personal information pursuant to relevant laws and regulations, such personal information or personal information files shall be stored and managed separately from other personal information.
The Firm selects the personal information subject to destruction, obtains approval from the Personal Information Protection Officer, and then destroys the relevant information.
If the personal information to be destroyed is in the form of electronic files, it shall be permanently deleted in an irreversible manner. For records, printed materials, written documents, or other recording media, destruction shall be carried out by shredding or incineration.

In accordance with Article 31(1) of the Personal Information Protection Act, the Firm designates the following Personal Information Protection Officer to safeguard personal information and to handle complaints related to personal information:

Article 5 (Amendments to the Privacy Policy)
In the event of any amendment to this Privacy Policy, the Firm will continuously disclose the timing of such amendment and implementation, as well as the details of the changes.
